‘Shallow Depths’

Life is a journey through time, a journey which leaves a plethora of formative traces both physical and psychological indexed within our psyche and upon our world.

The works presented in 'Shallow Depths’ form a segment of a personal exploration or study into creation and the accumulative effects of interaction within time; they are also an intriguing look into the creative function of the subconscious mind in relation to obscure influence and abstract expression.

'I have used many scoured and burnished layers of colour, texture and gesture as an abstract yet very real portrayal of experience and outcome within time. To the viewer I hope my work gives a perception of wonder or thought'. ‘Shallow depths’ asks the viewer to look beyond all presented surfaces, to look closely below and within any surface presented, in order to truly understand the ‘now’ with honest, informed perception.
